3 miles

I finally crossed the threshold of breathing, or at least it seems as though I did. The only problem I encountered was bad cramps.

the balls of my feet were a little sore and there was some general fatigue but not too bad. I'm happy to report that I actually jogged 98% resulting in an average pace of 10'45"/miles.

but now my body is tired!

Big props to Josh Emberger and his buddy Tim for running with me! Kasey too! Having people motivate and encourage me along the way has been very helpful.

I'm looking forward to running with even more folks on Saturday!

Anyone know any good techniques for preventing cramps? (sharp pains in my lower abdomen)

1.5 & 3 miles

last night I ran 1.5. Should have been two and I should have done it Thursday but I walked like 4 miles that day and didn't have time when all was said and done. (although that is not an excuse.)

Today I ran 3.00 miles with John Kopp and Jim Sorge. Good to have them there giving me tips and encouragement! AND I did my best mile so far 10'10"!!


And I burned 500 cal.

now to stretch and eat!

2 mile

I fucking hate my body.

That's all I could think as I was running today. What a piece of shit. Lungs cannot get the oxygen the need and there was this stabbing pain in my side (felt like someone was plunging a knife into my gut and wrenching it around).

It hurt so bad, I literally wanted to throw a tantrum of screaming and cussing. at one point while running, I started punching myself in the side out of shear frustration. As hard as one can punch oneself while running.

Monday: Strength Training

Today I followed a loose regiment of strength training.

bench pressing
ab crunches
leg presses
back strengthening

pretty tired all over. 12-hours at school on Monday's doesn't help...

Tomorrow it's supposed to be sunny and 51ยบ so I will run on Penn's track during my lunch.

Didn't run the whole time but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I felt limited by my lungs, can anyone else attest to that?

Average Pace 13 min 30 seconds, total time 27:57.

Gonna need to get that time down.
